Dynamics 365 Customer Service: service and complaint management

Dynamics 365 Customer Service supports customer cases, knowledge bases and service processes. Case handling, service-level agreements and entitlements are among its capabilities. Availability depends on the application and configuration.

What does CRM offer customer service?

Combining cases with customer history helps teams assess relevant information. A knowledge base provides reusable solutions, while service-level targets support process monitoring.

Request → Classification → Responsible team → Resolution → Feedback

Example: understanding recurring complaints

Closing repeated cases does not remove the underlying problem. Shared cause categories, weekly reviews and ownership assigned to a product or operations team can create a more useful improvement cycle. This is an example service design.

Which service definitions need to be clear?

How do priority and urgency differ? When is a request considered resolved? How is time waiting for a customer handled? Who owns a reopened record? Reports can mislead when teams use inconsistent definitions.

Which indicators should be reviewed together?

Review first response time, open case age, resolution time and reopened records together. A quickly closed case may not mean the customer’s problem is solved. Add feedback to these measures and use findings to improve knowledge or workflows.
